Sunblock Review

Ever since Maxine had a Serious Talk with me about sunblock (okay, not that serious, but the girl is soooooooo passionate about sunblock and skincare! If you are lazy with your sunblock regimen and do not want to grow into an old, ugly hag  you should definitely go to her for a good talking-to), I've become more religious about applying sun protection daily.

I think one huge hurdle that keeps girls from establishing daily sunblock habits is the fact that so many sunblocks are gross, sticky, and sometimes even melt when you sweat and drip into your eyes, eeew. I've had so many experiences with less than spectacular sunscreen products, so to keep you from going through the same, here are my top 4 (tried and tested)
sunblock products!

(L-R): The Body Shop's Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer SPF 30, Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30, Celeteque Facial Moisturizer SPF 15, and The Face Shop's  Natural Sun SPF 50

What the products look like (in the same order).

My thoughts on:

The Body Shop's Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 (approx 700)
-Love how the vitamin c wakes up my skin
-Super easily absorbed! It's practically gel-like when you apply it. Super lightweight.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 (approx 700, from Duty Free or amazon.com)
-Love the scent! It's the type of smell that makes boys want to kiss your face. Hahaha!
-Lightweight
-Can be used as primer

Celeteque Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 (approx 300 from drugstores and groceries)
-Incredibly lightweight  and instantly absorbed. I think it's water-based.
-Perfect for evenings or super lazy office days

The Face Shop's Natural Sun SPF 50 (approx 800)
-You won't believe that it's SPF 50 because it feels so light!
-Has no disgusting residue like other high SPF sunscreens

None of these are sweat-proof though. I'm still looking for the perfect sunscreen for running outdoors/adventure stuff. :(

What are your favorite sunscreen brands?

  1. I love this post! :) Sunscreen is probably the most important part of skincare!
